Shipping policy
At Kelp House Candle Co., every order is carefully packed and shipped with the same care we put into pouring each candle. Whether it’s traveling across town or across the ocean, we do our best to make sure your little piece of Cape Breton arrives safely.
Domestic Shipping (Canada)
Orders ship via Canada Post, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).
Orders placed Monday–Friday are processed within 48 hours.
Orders placed on the weekend or on Canadian holidays will be processed the next business day.
Canada Post generally does not deliver expedited shipments on Saturdays.
Once your order is authorized, you’ll receive a confirmation email. When it ships, you’ll receive a second email with tracking details so you can follow your candle’s journey home.
International Shipping
We currently ship internationally via Canada Post, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).
Delivery typically takes 8–14 business days, depending on destination and customs clearance.
Duties and taxes (if applicable) are the responsibility of the customer.
Please note: we cannot ship to P.O. boxes, and once an order is mailed out we are unable to change the shipping address.
Lost or Damaged Packages
We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they are marked “delivered” by Canada Post. However, if your order arrives damaged or goes missing along the way, please reach out to us. We’ll walk you through the next steps and do our best to make it right.
If you would like your package to ship with signature required, please let us know at checkout, and we’ll do our best to accommodate (as long as your order hasn’t already been dispatched).

Please keep in mind that all delivery times are estimates and may be affected by weather, natural events, or other factors beyond our control.
Every package we send out is more than just a candle — it’s a little reminder of Cape Breton, wrapped up with care and shipped with love.
