At Kelp House, the ocean is more than a view — it’s our home, our inspiration, and the heart of everything we create. We’re proudly based in Louisbourg, a small coastal town on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, where the salt air, rugged shoreline, and tight-knit community shape who we are.

We believe in protecting the place we love. That means crafting our candles with sustainable, earth-friendly ingredients and packaging, and sourcing from Canadian companies who share our values. Every wick, jar, and label is chosen with care — not just for quality, but for its impact on the planet.

We’re proud to partner with local businesses to bring their own brand stories to life through scent. Collaborations with Highwheeler Café and Big Spruce Brewing have allowed us to create exclusive, one-of-a-kind candles that reflect the heart of their businesses and the essence of their atmosphere. Working with boutique shops like Freya & Thor and La Quintrelle gives us the chance to support small, independent retailers across the island — keeping local commerce strong and our creative community thriving.
